When to go to Chapada dos Veadeiros?
There are basically two seasons in Chapada dos Veadeiros, the dry (May to September) and the rainy (October to April).
Some say that the best time to visit Chapada dos Veadeiros is during the dry season, but each season has its advantages and disadvantages and each tourist has their favorite season.
One of the advantages of the dry period is that there is less risk of waterspouts and the waters are more crystal clear. On the other hand, the volume of waterfalls decreases (some even disappear). The air also becomes dry and there may be fires.
In the rainy season, the waterfalls are more voluminous and less cold due to the spring and summer temperatures. However, rain increases the risk of waterspouts and can make the water muddy.
It is worth remembering that despite the denomination of periods of drought and rain, it may or may not rain during your stay. It is possible to travel to Chapada dos Veadeiros in December and not catch a rainy day, for example.
The fact is that Chapada is amazing all year round. Therefore, even if you are available to travel only during the rainy season, be sure to visit this paradise. You will not regret!
